Come in to my dream

I have a dream, an illusion perhaps, some play that is acted out in my mind and it keeps me going even when there seems to be nothing in sight. I care not for the reality around me because I am creating reality in my own mind and it is my dream to one day bring this reality to the fore of everybody else's reality. We all have our dreams and the shy among us fear that others will ridicule their dreams. Nothing could be more wrong. We all have our dreams and we deserve respect for them. I have a dream which nobody else shares. It does not matter at all that this is the case. My fingers were encrusted with uric acid that has crystallized in the cavities of my finger joints. They hurt and would not move the way I wanted them to. Then I saw a piano and the dreams of my youth came back. I stretched my fingers and bent them and moved them this way and that and melted away the encrusting crystals of uric acid and my fingers now move with a little more dexterity.

Let me dream. Let me see something better than the drab reality all around me. I dream and sometimes they let me down but it does not matter at all. I will simply adjust my dream and let other dreams less lofty take its place and make my reality a little more bearable.
